Hey it's been fun But I'm moving on I'm homesick for the road The time has come So I'll head off into the setting sun. This time I thought I'd really put down roots That living on the breeze was finally done Instead I find I'm lacing up my boots And by tomorrow you know I'll be gone I know there's still some things I'll leave behind Some folks are used to seeing me around These days out of sight need not be out of mind And it's in getting myself lost that I am found I've lived around the world and that's given me More perspective than I know how to use I keep friends at a distance, that's just who I've learned to be So when I leave it's one less thing to lose Community's as foreign as the shores I used to live by I'll light up a room but when I'm gone I'm all alone But I can write from anywhere, I'm craving somewhere green And wherever the wi-fi is, that's home.. My friends have all been in a box all year So where our bodies are won't change a thing Strumming this guitar and playing anywhere but here The crossroad spirit is in everything I sing

Campfire 03:48
CHORUS For just a moment let's pretend There's nothing waiting out there in the dark Stoke the fire, we'll dance until the dawn Wherever you come from There's a place at the campfire Grab a drink and tell us a story It really doesn't matter what it's all about If you have a guitar Join in for the chorus Sing along and if your throat gets dry Well that's what mead is for - somebody lube the bard! And if you get cold Huddle up with a neighbour Someone is sure to have a blanket spare Or a cloak to share - hey, keep it PG under there Until the sun comes up We'll keep the fire burning It's the longest night but we'll keep it bright So that the sun remembers what to do So feel the rhythm And dance if it moves you Tonight there is nothing more important than being together And watching this thing burn Wherever you come from Grab a drink and tell us your story

Liesmith 02:18
CHORUS Lie to me, make me believe in you Speak through me and use the power within me It cannot be, but impossibility's meaningless When you're with me. Master manipulator You justify means when the ending's unclear Your voice through my teeth speaks to feebler minds Bending wills and displacing fear I can find friends when I need them You've silvered my tongue so it's easy Enemies seem to forget what they're doing While I slip away and go free Honesty is overrated It's not getting caught in a lie that's the goal I can cheat with a card up my sleeve, but the table Just thinks that I'm on a roll I will always do your bidding Ask it of me and you know I'll comply Come the day that I falter, question your word, I know that's the day I will die.

about

A second EP from the year that wouldn't end... this set is themed around a need to be back out in the world, I'm sure I'm not the only one feeling this way!
